Developed and teach EDHS 3250: Professional Development and Team Dynamics at UVA. The course was designed to give undergraduates soft skills, including a team experience, to increase their self-awareness and be more marketable to employers. The class is currently an approved elective at McIntire School of Commerce's Minor in Leadership Studies.

Spending many years working in human services, I have found that career development is the common thread for all individuals. Having a dream and a goal can make all the difference to a young child, a recent divorcee, or a retiree.

Since completing my doctorate at UVA in 2008, I have provided individual career services to business students, taught graduate and professional students career development theories, and have consulted on numerous career courses and projects for various organizations.

I currently work-full time as an Assistant Professor and reside in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with my young family, including an entitled cat and a hyper mutt.
